Google has introduced Search profiles, giving eligible creators a shareable page that brings their social accounts, websites, posts and links into one place they can customise.

The feature can also trigger or enhance the Knowledge Panel appearing when somebody searches for a creator’s name. Google says a claimed profile can add an updated avatar, platform links, recent posts and pinned work. The Knowledge Panel may also contain an AI-generated summary based on the creator’s bio.

This is not an open sign-up for every new channel. Google says a creator, publisher or organisation needs a public profile with at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, YouTube or X. A creator relying only on TikTok needs at least 300,000 followers. The initial rollout is limited to the United States, with expansion planned later in 2026.

Claiming a profile requires linking supported platforms to verify identity. Once claimed, the creator can edit the profile, collect important links and pin work they want visitors to see first.

The value is straightforward. Creators already maintain several public identities, while search results can mix official accounts, old biographies, fan pages and unrelated people with similar names. A verified page gives the creator a controlled destination inside Google’s search ecosystem.

It does not make search completely editable. Google still decides when a Knowledge Panel appears, and its FAQ warns that name collisions can prevent one from showing. Search profiles also do not replace a business’s Google Business Profile.

For Australian creators, the current answer is “not yet.” The feature is worth watching, but its geographic limit is explicit.

Confirmed: feature purpose, customisation, verification method, follower thresholds, US-only launch and possible Knowledge Panel changes.

Not confirmed: an Australian launch date, guaranteed Knowledge Panel placement or any ranking advantage.
