Twitch has set this year's SUBtember promotion for Friday, 28 August through Thursday, 1 October, both at 10 AM Pacific Time.
SUBtember is Twitch's annual push for subscriptions, gifting and Bits. This year's programme includes discounts on eligible subscriptions, an extra-Bits promotion for Custom Power-ups and two sponsored gift-sub events. Twitch says it will cover the value of the subscription discounts so streamers receive the same payout as for a full-price subscription.
What the subscription offer covers
Twitch has announced 25% off eligible one- and three-month subscriptions and 30% off eligible six-month subscriptions on web and mobile. The discounts apply to the first term of qualifying new paid recurring subscriptions and certain conversions or upgrades; they do not apply to every existing subscription, Prime subscription or Turbo subscription.
The precise offer still matters for viewers. A discounted subscription is not a universal price cut across every account and subscription type, so Twitch directs people to its promotion terms for the exclusions. For participating streamers, however, the platform says the payout is protected from the discounted price.
A bonus for Custom Power-ups
From 12 September at 10 AM Pacific Time until 18 September at 4 PM Pacific Time, Twitch says it will add 10% extra Bits when viewers spend 100 Bits or more on a Custom Power-up. Default Power-ups are excluded, and the feature must be enabled by the channel owner on a monetised channel.
Gift subs at the beginning and end
State Farm will begin the promotion with nearly 100,000 gifted subscriptions across participating Gamerhood channels from 28 August at 3 PM Pacific Time, according to Twitch. The company will also provide bonus gift subscriptions during that Gamerhood finale.
At the other end of SUBtember, Minecraft Dungeons II will add one free subscription for every qualifying purchase of five new one-month community gift subscriptions. That finale runs from 25 September at 10 AM Pacific Time to 1 October at 10 AM Pacific Time.
Twitch says viewers who subscribe, gift or use Bits during the promotion can unlock a limited-time 2026 SUBtember badge. As always with platform promotions, creators and viewers should check the listed dates, eligibility rules and local availability before planning around the offer.
